Finally! A new Mercedes-Benz SLK!

Mercedes-Benz Company prepares to introduce officially a new generation of SLK roadster. Besides it has a reason to do it. Nevertheless a legendary brand has its 125 anniversary and this event must be celebrated by introduction with a new amazing model. Furthermore a next-coming summer season needs more models without roof. An official presentation will take place in Stuttgart during a celebration of Mercedes-Benz’s anniversary.


And now we want to share information about this car with our visitors. What this new car is? According to photos this car is very close to other new model by design. SLK attracts everyone with its outside appearance like a new C-Class and second generation of CLS.

Nevertheless there are only common notes in appearances of those cars. A new SLK has its own charisma, its own character. The main feature is in outside look. It is a new folding roof specially called Magic Sky Control. It is unusual glass roof with unique “smart” covering able to change its transparency.

From driver is able to choose level of roof transparency due to this system. Apart from this unique features there are more widely-distributed (and cheaper) variants of body arranging are affordable. Future owner can choose a roadster with folding metal roof with sunroof or just folding metal roof.

Besides a new SLK is more economical car due to its low air resistance. Aerodynamic drag coefficient was reduced till 0,30. It is really worthy. Usually cabrio cars has bigger resistance. A saloon of this car is combination of sport and comfort. A new interior of in SLS AMG style made fully of classic forms. Round and square forms. Kingdom of conservatism.

Germans didn’t loose technical characteristics. As it says, status is committing. As usual Mercedes-Benz roadsters are bought by connoisseurs of comfort, speed and freedom. A new special engine line will be installed on SLK. First, they will be gasoline engines. “Younger” versions are 1.8-liter engine with 184hp (for SLK 200 modification) or 204hp of power (for SLK 250 modification). Besides more powerful power units will be offered.

They are 3.5-liter V6 engine with 306hp of power with direct fuel injection (for SLK 350 modification) and 2.1-liter with 204hp of total power. And of course AMG tuning bureau has prepared. It proposes just sport-package consisting of body-kit and changed suspension. Besides it is possible to offer optionally active headlights, adaptive cruise control and brand «Airscarf» system. These are special deflectors located in head-rests which gives a warm air during driving.
