Mercedes-Benz decided to curtail production of two modifications of ML. They are ML 63 AMG and ML 450 CDI. This step is one of stages preparing to produce a next generation of ML. The most powerful gasoline version was Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG with 6.2-liter V8 engine with 510hp and seven-level automatic gearbox.
A such compilation gave ML all abilities to accelerate till 100km/hr in 5 second having about 250km/hr of total speed (limited by electronics). At this time two gasoline (V6 272hp and V8 388hp) and three diesel (190hp, 211hp, 224hp) engines stayed. Next generation of Merdes-Benz ML will be in October 2011. The production will be started on a factory in Tascalusa town (Alabama, USA). Also Mercedes-Benz ML, GL and R classes are assembled there.
