New Brabus V12 GLK-Class

German tuners from Brabus placed thier famous engine V12 biturbo under hood of almost every Mercedes-Benz model. This engine was installed on Mercedes SUV GLK. Thereby GLK became the fastest offroader around the world. There are some models with V12 engine in Brabus line.


So, engine volume was increased till 6.3 litres, two turbokompressors appeared with many original details. As a result top power was inlarged till 750hp with 1100Nm of torque. It is understandably that with this parametres you can change this car into a racket. But engineering art is not consist in only building a monster engine but placing it in cramped engine area of models which weren’t calculated for this engines. First experimental was C Mercedes Benz which had received V12 and name Bullit. When an idea came to implant V12 engine in GLK-Class engineeres had already known what to do. And now we have the fastest offroader with top speed of 322km/h. Bid torgue comes into only rear wheels, with five-speed stronger gearbox in process. Modification were made in suspension, brake system, exterior.

Brabus Widestar increased car width in 5cm due to wheelarch trims. Some slots appeared in bumber for intercoolers and brake mechanisms cooling. Spoiler appeared in back for lift reducing. All form came after blowing in wind channel. Thus large stability of a car was achieved even during 300km/h of speed. Suspension was made specially for big weight of V12 engine and has adjustment of ground clearance with ten fixed pisitions. Twelve-piston aluminium supports and ventilated disks with diameter of 380mm were placed in front brake system and six-piston aluminium supports and ventilated disks with diameter of 360mm also were placed in rear brake system. In addition this car has 22′ wheel disks. Taking enjoyment in having this car will cost about 397 000 euro.
