Kicherer is not indifferent to Mercedes-Benz cars. This tuning center has been working on tuning sphere during 30 years. Having overhauled SLS AMG specialists from Kicherer decided to improve Mercedes-Benz GL crossover. A new car was called GL 42 Sport Black.
Tuners worked on 4.2-liter V8 engine and improved in till 380hp of total power and 900Nm of maximal torque (instead of past 306hp and 700Nm). Also tuners upgraded adjustment of electronic acceleration pedal. Airmatic suspension was adjusted and a new sport exhaust system was installed.
From now Gl has better stable acceleration due to Kicherer PowerConverter power module. Also Gl has additional adjustment of Airmatic system. Factory wheel disks were changed with 22′ Vogue ones with 295/35R22 tires. All body except a rear part of roof was covered with matted cover.
A new radiator guard and non-chromed Mercedes-Benz logos were placed. Interior changes are unknown, except a new sport steering wheel. Read about crazy beast Kicherer GL 42 Black Line.
