So there is another bomb. Super! Carlsson tuning atelier announced overhauled Mercedes GL500 called Carlsson CK50. We should to make overview. Let’s go! First that must receive some attention is V8 power unit which was ungraded by CK50 chip and new exhaust system with 435 hp of power and 600Nm of torque (past 388 hp).
These results allow to accelerate till 100 km/hr in 6.1 seconds and reach 248 km/hr of maximal speed. It is not bad for this mass. And it is only a chip. Next modifications were done in running gear. Intelligent «C-Tronic SUSPENSION» module which is able to change features and clearance in case of different road conditions. Adjustment of clearance and 22′ wheel disks with 305/35 tires create stable and dynamic enough base for GL500.
Carlsson decided to simple body-kit consisting of pair of spoilers, sills, diffuser and some moldings. Modestly but with taste! Color is black, disks are polished chrome. Beauty! Saloon is a fascination which is easy on the pocket for reach gourmets.
Carlsson is a specialist in packaging arrangement showing weakening luxury of decoration using different luxury materials like alcantara, carbon, aluminum and multimedia frills (sound system with DVD-player and displays). How much does it cost? I have no idea, but it is able to figure it out. Take basic price for Mercedes GL off road and plus approximately 50 000 Euro. That’s all!

What is it with MB and the droopy butt look? They did the same thing to the new SLK. The front end is suqare and blunt and the back just falls off lazily. And that tail light design looks cheap.
